I know that it can be very frustrating when you have the wrong parts for your range hood. The filter that you need is the 50183, however this has been substituted by the manufacture for the 50187, which is thicker. I looked to see if any of our other resources has it, but it looks like they all get it from the manufacturer. So the part that would be sent is the 50187. I know this is very inconvenient, but unless you can get a hold of the original filter this one will have to do. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. AnneJ, I stated that I have a model 50183 filter. The filter packaging indicates that it is a 50183 filter, and not 50187 that is supposedly the thicker of the two . Why would the manufacturer substitute a filter that ultimately is the wrong size? Beyond being an inconvenience, I can't see how the fan blades rubbing on a filter could be any good for the blades or the motor. In addition, this filter needs to be replaced on a regular basis, so you are basically saying that the right filters are not available. I would have never bought this range hood if I know all this. It certainly would be returned, but unfortunately I already installed it. Not a satisfied customer at all.
