The Galaxy Tab A NOOK will be the lowest end tablet eReader in the company’s line with a 1280 x 800 7-inch screen, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and 8GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expansion. For $139.99, there is also a 2MP front-facing camera, GPS, and an FM tuner. Barnes & Noble’s lineup also includes a small dedicated eInk device and two tablets.

Clearly not ~40%, since the whole point of eInk is that it uses a lot less battery. But did anyone quantify it? Plenty of eInk devices run Android so the data ought to be there.

I read on my phone or ipad but have been thinking about getting an eink device so I can read in the sun. Trying to read a guide book on an LCD screen while trying to find a patch of shade is very frustrating. Not to mention reading at the beach.
