Maynard Arvil Cook, age 87, born in Blue Ridge, Ga., on Dec. 4, 1927. Angels took dad to meet his Jesus (from complications of Alzheimer’s and Dementia) on Nov. 16, 2015, at his home in peace and comfort with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Henry and Cora Cook; brother, Charlie Cook (sister-in-law, Ruth Cook), granddaughter, Ginger Leeanne Martin; grandson, Jonah Caleb Helton; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Helton, and numerous other friends and relatives. He is survived by his daughters, Elaine (Martin) Roach, Lisa (Joe) Helton, Teresa Whitteaker; granddaughters, Lori (Philip) Calvert, Krista Martin-Johnson, and Kelsey Whitteaker; grandsons, Joey, Josh, Stephan, and Travis Helton, Brandon Stephens, and Dakota Whitteaker; 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; beloved friends, Booney Whittaker, Richard Lawson; wonderful neighbors; and special angel, Dee-Dee Neilson.
