Alas, with no MicroSD slot (as is the norm these days—though we were delighted to find them on Amazon’s 2015 Fire color tablets), on the GlowLight Nook Plus' body you’ll find only a micro-USB port. It's on the bottom edge, and it's used for charging the reader or side-loading content via the enclosed USB cable. And, alas, another ho-hum trend rears its head here: No AC adapter block comes in the box, just a USB cable. But given how many weeks you can go between charges, as we'll get into later, your Nook won't go dark in a coffee shop very often, and you can use a typical smartphone or tablet charger block with the cable when you need it.
The Glowlight Nook Plus has a completely new design that hardly resembles the old Nooks. The front is all on the same level instead of being indented for the screen, the back is made of sturdy aluminum, and the whole thing is seamless and sealed to make it waterproof.
