Benjamin Paul Theisen, 29, is accused of having a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when he ran a stop sign and was hit by another vehicle. The collision happened Friday afternoon at Mayhew Lake Road and 15th Street Northeast.
Paul Theisen was charged Thursday with second-degree sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree possession of child pornography. He was committed to the Camden County Correctional Facility in Camden in default of $200,000 full-cash bail.
The Benton County Sheriff’s office says 29-year-old Benjamin Paul Theisen was driving west on 15th Street Northeast and failed to stop at the intersection of Mayhew Lake Road. Theisen’s car was T-boned after pulling out in front of 50-year-old Barbra Lori who was driving south on Mayhew Lake Road. Theisen then fled on foot leaving his passenger, 28-year-old Brady Eugene Haugen, trapped in the car.
