Proofreading and Editing Precision (with CD-ROM)

This FREE checklist can be used to edit your students papers or by students to proofread and edit their own papers. If you want your students to use the checklist, you may want to initially use it with your students and edit together so that they have opportunity to become accustomed to the process first.

For example, when we proofread and edit our own writing, we tend to read it as we think it should be, which means we misread our own typos and other spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes as well as problems with word choice and sentence structure, context, and overall readability.
