We read in the book of Ecclesiastes ( Kohellet) the following about a wise heart;
“The heart of the wise ( Lev Chachamim) is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of joy.”( Ecclesiastes 7:4)
What we need now, more than ever, is what God charged Moshe with finding in the days of the Bible: all who are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom. We need lay leaders of all types, those in the federation world, those from the “J”, those from congregations and beyond. We need Day school parents, Hebrew school parents, those born here and transplants too. We need Jews, semi-Jews and non-Jews alike to step forward and join us as we convene, brainstorm viable, visionary solutions to our modern challenges, then implement revolutionary change boldly and swiftly once and for all.
"The Wise Heart: The Story of Emory University" premieres at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 26, with encore presentations at 10 p.m. and on Sunday, April 29 at 8 p.m.
