December 7, 2011: As part of the Heyman Center's Writing Lives Series, Hisham Matar, author of the Man Booker shortlisted novel "In the Country of Men", and more recently, "Anatomy of a Disappearance", spoke on "Literature, Exile, and the 'Arab Spring.'" Bashir Abu-Manneh of Barnard College, served as interlocutor.

Writing Lives gives us stories that will make us laugh and bring tears to our eyes as it provides a focus on the past, the present and even the future.
